Rhythm and me

A poetic journey of self-discovery through rhythm and melody, plucking at new strings to find a harmony that is truly one's own.

Rhythm and me
Squeezing my way through the hurdle
listening to someone else's rhythm
I wove a part for myself
Thinking I knew my rhythm

Playing with the melody
Strings got strained
But I kept plucking them
Thinking I knew my rhythm

Almost halfway through
I tried tuning harmony
But borrowed strings could not withstand
A new rhythm had to be found

Performance at a halt
For I shall find my own rhythm
New strings were weaving
A new rhythm forging its way

Savoring the melody
Harmony in its bliss
I rejoiced and danced
My rhythm was singing along
